Okay, it’s been about 27 days since I left the states and settled down in Canada for the summer. (I left June 10) I didn’t want to wait for the whole summer to write down this journal, so I’m just going to talk about the things I’ve done or seen in Canada so far.

Locations: I actually had the fortunate chance to visit the Niagara Falls on two occasions. The first time was when daylight was still out, and the waterfalls were just amazing. I tried taking pictures but knowing my camera, I probably got crappy quality. The second time was on the 4th of July and it was dark, around 10 P.M. The waterfalls changed into multi-colors and the fireworks were grand. There were a lot of people there, I swear, it was my first time being in something like that. I enjoyed the little show and falls.

Then we went to the Toronto zoo, before we went to the first visit to the Niagara Falls. It was okay, not much to see, because either the animals were locked down due to weather conditions (not that I could blame the arctic animals, it was like 94 degrees at the time!) or something. But to make up that lousy trip, we went to Buffalo, New York’s zoo, and that time I didn’t forget to bring my camera. There was much more things to see there and the weather wasn’t as ridiculous as it was back in Toronto. And on the way back from the zoo to home, I spotted this huge Hershey store that I’m itching to visit =p I will defiantly take a picture of that when we make our visit there again hopefully in two weeks.

Bruce, my friend’s dad, once said we might make a small trip to Montreal for a few days. Not sure how long or when, but that just gives me an opportunity to write more in the next journal, probably in the first week of August.

Activities: Well I already told you about the zoos and fireworks. I also got to see a few movies with my friend and her two sisters. The first one we saw when I’ve already settled for 2 weeks was Night at the Museum 2. I don’t care if it’s a kid’s movie, I loved it. The next one (we saw it yesterday as a matter of fact) was Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Needless to say, I loved it too. Both movies were funny in my opinion and a great to watch with the family and have a few good laughs. I have YET to see Transformers 2, but I’m not going to be able to see it at all during my stay here in Canada. (I blame it on Nancy, xD she says she’s more into kid movies) However, if it’s possible, I might get to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, at the premiers too. But even if not, I’ll still be able to see it, cause Nancy and my friend are dying to see it too. So I’m good. xD

My friend’s youngest sister had a birthday party, and I also got to go to a few restaurants I’ve never been to before. (One of them was Perkins, but I can’t remember the other names… ^^; )

The Food: Okay, the bacon here is fantastic (hence which is what Canada's known for) and the food is pretty good, though its the candy , sweets, sodas, and treats that sadden me. The hersheys are nothing like in the states, and the pepsi, don't even bother. Although Dr. Pepper is alright, and Rootbeer is better off than Sprite and Sunkist... umm... Mountain Dew is alright as well...

Annnd that’s all I got to tell so far. I probably did some more stuff (which are merely details btw) but I either can’t remember or they’re just unwanted details. Anyway. Don’t expect another journal from me in about. . . probably in four weeks :shrug:
